Standard M14/M1A Receiver

The M1A receiver that is highly recommended to use on a sage stock is the standard M14/M1A receiver of all Manufactures such as LRB Arms (M14SA) , Springfield Armory Inc,Armscorp, and Federal Ordnance receivers to name a few. By using the standard M14/M1A receiver, you will have a lot more options on type of scope mounts to be used and no hassles of drop fitting your M1A rifle model of your choice. You may have a few minor issues around the trigger assembly but most of the time when converting your M1A rifle to a sage stock.............no problems at all.

SAGE USMC M39 EMR
There is one limited Sage International Ltd. Stock variant that already has been machine down to accept a scope mount without any issues and still able to see iron sights with no problem is the USMC M39 EMR Sage Stock. As far as I know this is the only Sage stock thus far to accept the Smith Enterprise,Inc.(SEI) scope mount with its see thru channel for iron sights.

The military version Sage EBR receivers are from the USGI Armory stock pile M14 rifles in which are TRW's, H&R's,Winchesters standard receivers. These are the remaining M14 rifles and receivers that are still being use since 1957 to arm our U.S. soldiers of today's global conflicts world wide. I for one was fortunate to have see one up close and personal of a TRW receiver on a USMC M39 EMR at its best!!
