Used by M2 and M85 machine guns. For incendiary effect, especially against aircraft.
Upon impact with a hardened or armored target, the incendiarycomposition bursts into flame and will ignite any flammable material.
Incendiary composition: 34 grains (2.2 g) IM 11
The cartridge is identified by a blue bullet tip.
