Beretta 501 Sniper Rifle

The Beretta 501 sniper rifle is an Italian-made sniper rifle. Introduced in 1985, it was originally intended for military and police use. Eventually, it became a sporting rifle, but it has now been discontinued and it has been replaced by Accuracy International Arctic Warfare Magnum rifles. Nowadays, this rifle is very rare, and there are very few in the United States. It is a rotating bolt-action rifle with a 23 inch barrel, which is rather uncommon. Beretta chose to use this barrel length because it benefited the weapon's 7.62mm NATO (.308 Win.) cartridge. It weighs approximately 5.56kg without any mounted scope or magazine. The rifle also uses a 5 round magazine and is about 1165mm in length.
