My SEI 0007 Rifle
Well I finally decided it was time for me to work on my rifle for once
and I finally finnished it. I was originally going to drop it into a
USGI fiberglass stock as a Crazy Horse rifle but all this hype on the
Sage stocks made me change my mind. After all this time I am so happy to
have this completed for the most part. This rifle has been born with the following:
*SEI M14 receiver 0007 (Lucky number 7)
*SEI 22"
*Med barrel M80HT
*TRW bolt
*H&R trigger group
*H&R Op Rod
*USGI NM rear sight
*US Optics 1.8 - 10 SN3-TPAL
*Badger Ord. rings
*All other parts built by us here at SEI

Well Saturday (5/30/11) I decided I had time to go to the Range to zero my scope
and shoot for groups. I was a real nice day being the only one on the
fireline. The wind at my position was 21MPH going from my 3 o'clock to 9
0'clock. I was shooting factory Hornady 168gr AMAX-TAP at 100 Yards. It
did take me a while to get use to the US Optics scope since all I have
ever used was Leupold.
Here are some pictures:

The 100 yard range at Phoenix Rod and Gun

5 round shot group using 168gr Hornady Tap - Had 1 flyer, my fault

Data from my ballistics calculator and GPS from my Android phone

This is the DOP that my calculator gave me to make my next shot at 250 yards

This is a 5 roung group shooting 155gr Hornady AMAX-TAP. Instead of readjusting my scope, I just shifted my point of aim to compensate for the POI change of the 155gr ammo. This group of 4 rounds is just a hair over MOA.
Overall I am very happy with how this rifle has shot and I know once I get a better buttstock to get a good solid cheeck weld, the groups will tighten up some. I am just happy I finally got to build my gun.
