This may be one of many invited Group Buys that will be offrerd here at SageEBR.com.

I will post a sidebar for such Group Buys here for future reference. Again this is another great invent or feature for all Sage EBR readers/bloggers to participate at your choosing. I for one has ordered 1 large and 1 small Tactical Compensator already.

This group buy will be a limited time whereas the last day to order will be determined.

Small Delta P Design/JP Rifles Compensator

PRICE: $225.00 each

SHIPPING: USPS

PAYMENT METHOD: Bank Checks / USPS Money Order Preferred

CONTACT INFORMATION: bkolby@optonline.net

I will except bank checks or USPS money orders only. If for some strange reason neither of these are options for you, I will entertain others but they will need to be discussed prior to final payment. I do not collect the funds up front. If you are interested, please post your intention in as a reply in this thread. Once you have replied I will add you to a list of members that have committed to buying. Please plan accordingly with your funds. Depending on the responses it may run as much as three to four months which will put us into the holiday season where you may need to commit your funds to other ventures.

The price will be $225.00 plus shipping and insurance via priority mail through the USPS. I will not charge extra to send to Alaska or Hawaii. I never did understand why people do that zone 8 is zone 8 weather your in Cali or further west.

Once we meet a minimum number of solid commitments, I will send you an email with final payment details.

I am making this part bold because there seemed to be some confusion in the past buys regarding the info I need for a comprehensive spreadsheet I edit as members commit to the buy. I need your full name, address where you would like the comp shipped, email address and phone number. Your email will be added to a group on my computer. Your email will not be seen buy other members when I send status updates. I will send it to myself and BCC all the members in the group. It is imperative I have your email, it makes it simple to contact you all at once rather than sending each of you an individual PM.

Trust:

This will be my fourth group buy on the forum. The first one I did a couple of years ago I sold 86 krieger barrels. Each one was approximately $400. Thats was approximately $30,000.00 that members entrusted to me and the buy when off without a hitch. I have also run two previous buys for this tac comp. Several members on the second buy were repeat buyers and I thank them.

Details about the product you will be buying. It may seem simple but a lot of thought has gone into the comp. I have standards and like nice stuff so please read on what will go into the product. The two companies that will be providing us with service are Delta P Design and JP rifles. The Comps are made by JP Rifles and the Adapter is produced by Delta P Design. Once the units are paid for, I will place the orders with each company. The comps are made out of Stainless Steel and the adapters are made of hardened Stainless Steel. The adapters are black oxided with a laser etched delta p logo. I will have JP send all the comps to Delta P in order to have the comp black oxided so the finish matches perfectly. The owner at Delta P will then cherry pick and ensure the adapters hand index before TDC. The comps and adapters will then be sent back to JP Rifles where they will be placed on a lathe and indexed to the individual adapters. There will be no crush washer used! Once the indexing is complete they will be shipped to me and I will intern ship them out to the individual members. There is no set minimum order commitment however if for some reason the number of commitments is low the buy will stay open a bit longer to give it the opportunity to raise the numbers to an acceptable level.

The first buy 15 units were sold, the second 19 units were sold. There are several members who bought more than one and now have them on each of there rifles. The performance of these comps has been nothing but stellar. They virtually eliminate muzzle climb allowing for immediate follow up shots as well as greatly reducing recoil. There have been a few threads regarding its abilities. Unfortunately, the previous group buys are no longer viewable, they had a wealth of information regarding the combination.

I will be honest, the adapters are made with certain tolerances built in. However some fitting may be required. Especially on krieger barrels. Of the four I have installed on krieger barrels two went on in a second the other two needed to be adjusted. Its not hard to do. I am sure there will be plenty of former purchasers chiming in on the subject.

A brief description of the Compensators:

They have two vertical surfaces and a few ports on the top. These are designed to give you a neutral impulse.(no climb) This time around I will be offering two different size compensators. They will come in a 1 inch diameter and a 1.2 inch diameter. The last time we did a buy, I had them put one together with the 1 inch diameter comp. I have not had the opportunity to test this out yet. PLease keep in mind that the smaller diameter will not be as effective in reducing recoil as the larger diameter compensator. However I am sure it will still perform as well on reducing if not eliminating the muzzle climb considering the top ports are the same size.

Another unique feature regarding the adapter. Unlike a similar adapter on the market this adapters castle nut set screw is on the bottom of the adapter. You might think this is strange but there is a benefit to this. The adapter will come with the comp indexed to the adapter out of the box loc tited to the adapter. All you have to do is remove the FH and install the tac comp as one piece. If the set screw is on the top you would be required to install the comp and then index the comp to the adapter. Its a much better design this way.
